HTC Desire Black
The new black edition HTC Desire is an impressively functional handset from the HTC stable, offering a wide range of advanced technology and functionality encased in a casing which measures 119 mm x 60 mm wide whilst being 11 mm thick. The handset utilises the popular Android based operating system and combines it with the Qualcomm Snapdragon QSD8250 1 GHz processor.
The HTC Desire Black offers photographic capabilities by virtue of its 5.0 megapixel camera that comes with auto focus in addition to an LED flash. The camera also provides the means to capture video which is recorded at D1 quality and at 30 frames per second. The handsets entertainment options include a stereo FM radio that comes with RDS and an MP4/MP3 media player in addition to a variety of games.
This Orange exclusive phone offers an impressively colourful 3.7 inch AMOLED touch screen that displays 16 million colours, offering effervescent colour representation and vibrancy of image that is unmatched. Navigation around the functionality is provided by the multi-touch input method in addition to an optical trackball, whilst the inclusion of both proximity and accelerometer sensors automate a variety of tasks.
The HTC Desire includes an internal memory of 576 MB with the option to utilise the integrated microSD card slot and relevant cards to increase storage capacity up to a more creditable 32 GB. GPRS and EDGE connections are provided, both of which are class 10 in addition to blue tooth and microUSB connections. The GPS function offers effective satellite navigation and also incorporates A-GPS support. Internet access is available through the handset is Wi Fi and HSDPA connections offering the ability to access the web at speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps.
The phone also includes a digital compass, dedicated search keys and social media integration, which within this handset is offered by Facebook, twitter and Flickr applications in addition to YouTube, Picasa and Google talk integration.
The Desire bears similarities to the Google Nexus One as both offer highly effective levels of technology incorporated within stylish casings (and the obvious fact that they are both from the same manufacturer!). This particular unit is available in black and brown with a silver HTC Desire on its way soon, all colours offer the same great specifications and provide an effective mobile phone that can be utilised anywhere and perform a wide range of useful features and functions.
