We have now had confirmation that the forthcoming S5230 from Samsung is to follow suit as with the recent name change of the Omnia HD and be released under a slightly different name to its original model number, as with the Omnia HD now being released as the i8910 HD the S5230 is now to be called the Samsung Tocco Lite. This affordable little touch screen phone is set to appeal to anyone currently loving the LG Cookie as it offers a full colour touch screen at a budget price, the BIG news is that there is also to be a pink Samsung Tocco Lite for the female customers and if the pink LG Cookie is anything to go by it’s set to be extremely popular! The Samsung Tocco Lite is also to be joined by the more heavily featured Samsung S5600, a slim multimedia phone that is not dissimilar to the i900 Omnia but with upgraded features and technology and a far more svelt design. This new Samsung phone which has already been dubbed as the ‘Cookie Killer’ and will be available on pay monthly contract deals from 15th May 2009.
The Samsung Tocco Lite has a 3inch WQVGA full touch screen with 256k colours and 240 x 400 pixel resolutions for clear and bright viewing, it has mobile widgets to make the phone easy and enjoyable to use as well as Touchwhiz. The Samsung Tocco Light is a slim and compact phone available in a sleek black colour casing, the phones measurements are 104mm x 53mm x 11.9 mm and the phone weighs 92 grams so it is a nice phone to handle. You can store all your photos and downloads on the 50 megabytes of internal memory or get up to 8 gigabytes with a MicroSD™ memory card.
